AOS (Alpha and Omega Semiconductor) half-bridge driver power stage product series integrates a half-bridge gate driver, high/low side N-channel MOSFET and adds protections to make the system more robust. These half-bridge drivers also feature special slew control functionality that allows users to adjust the source and sink current of the gate driver to achieve effective EMI suppression. The half-bridge structure is flexible and can be used for the most basic buck and boost converters. If two half-bridge structures are used to form a full bridge, this combined solution is ideal for wireless charger transmitters, brushed motors, single-phase DC brushless motors or wireless chargers. Three half bridges are well-suited to drive three-phase DC brushless motors, and even two full-bridge architectures make excellent solutions to drive stepper motors.
